Book Echo 隐私政策

我们非常重视您的隐私。本政策说明 Book Echo 如何收集、使用和保护您的信息。
1. 信息收集
Book Echo 是一款本地优先的电子书阅读应用。您导入的书籍文件仅存储在您的设备本地，我们不会上传或收集您的书籍内容。
应用收集的信息仅限于：
- 阅读偏好设置（字体、字号、主题等），存储在设备本地
- 语音缓存文件，存储在设备本地
2. 第三方语音服务
当您使用「在线语音」朗读功能时，应用会将当前朗读的文本片段通过加密连接（WSS）发送至我们部署在 Cloudflare Workers 上的中转代理（edge-tts-proxy.woow5082.workers.dev），由该代理转发至 Microsoft Edge 的语音合成服务以获取语音音频。
请注意：
- 仅在您主动点击「播放」时才会发送文本
- 每次仅发送当前朗读的一小段文字
- 全程通过 TLS 加密保护
- 中转代理为无状态转发，不记录、不存储您的阅读文本
- Cloudflare 作为基础设施提供方，可能依其安全/反滥用策略短期记录连接元数据（如 IP、时间戳），但不会接触阅读文本本身，具体以 Cloudflare 隐私政策 为准
- Microsoft 对其语音合成服务的数据处理适用 Microsoft 隐私声明
您可以选择「离线模式」使用系统内置语音，此时不会有任何数据离开您的设备。
3. 数据存储
所有用户数据均存储在您的设备本地：
- 书籍文件和阅读进度
- 语音缓存（可在设置中清除）
- 用户偏好设置
我们不收集任何个人信息。除第 2 节所述的无状态语音中转代理外，我们不运营任何存储用户内容或行为数据的服务器。
4. 第三方 SDK
本应用不包含任何广告 SDK、分析 SDK 或用户追踪工具。
5. 儿童隐私
本应用不针对 13 岁以下儿童，不主动收集任何个人信息。
6. 政策变更
如本政策有重大变更，我们将通过应用更新通知您。

Book Echo Privacy Policy

We take your privacy very seriously. This policy explains how Book Echo collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information Collection
Book Echo is a local-first ebook reading app. The book files you import are stored only on your device — we never upload or collect your book content.
The only information stored is:
- Reading preferences (font, size, theme, etc.), stored locally on your device
- Voice cache files, stored locally on your device
2. Third-Party Voice Service
When you use the online voice read-aloud feature, the app sends the current text segment over an encrypted (WSS) connection to a stateless relay we operate on Cloudflare Workers (edge-tts-proxy.woow5082.workers.dev), which then forwards it to Microsoft Edge's speech synthesis service to obtain audio.
Please note:
- Text is only sent when you actively tap "Play"
- Only a small segment of text is sent at a time
- The entire path is protected by TLS encryption
- Our relay is stateless — it does not log or store the text being read
- Cloudflare, as our infrastructure provider, may briefly retain connection metadata (e.g. IP address, timestamps) under its own security/anti-abuse policies, but does not have access to the text content. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Microsoft's handling of data sent to its speech service is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement
You can choose "Offline Mode" to use the system's built-in voice, in which case no data leaves your device.
3. Data Storage
All user data is stored locally on your device:
- Book files and reading progress
- Voice cache (can be cleared in Settings)
- User preferences
We do not collect any personal information. Apart from the stateless voice relay described in Section 2, we do not operate any server that stores user content or behavioral data.
4. Third-Party SDKs
This app does not contain any advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or user tracking tools.
5. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not actively collect any personal information.
6. Policy Changes
If there are significant changes to this policy, we will notify you through app updates.
